Buying and selling locally can be simple and safe if you follow a few basic precautions.

For Buyers

• Meet the seller in a public, well-lit place — a market, mosque area, or busy street is safer than a private home.
• Inspect the item carefully in person before you pay anything.
• Never send advance payment to someone you haven't met, especially for high-value items.
• Bring a friend or family member along when meeting a stranger, especially for expensive items.
• Trust your instincts — if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is.

For Sellers

• Meet buyers in public places, ideally during daylight hours.
• Do not share your NID, banking details, or OTP codes with buyers.
• Confirm payment has actually cleared before handing over the item.
• Be honest about the condition of your item in the listing to avoid disputes.
